Dr. Brian Sauls, Principal
Dr. Brian Sauls was named principal of Douglas High School in July 2021 after serving two years as an assistant principal. Before moving into administration, he taught middle and high school science and coached multiple sports.
Dr. Sauls earned a bachelor’s degree in Biology from Berry College, a master’s degree in Biology Education from Auburn University, an Education Specialist degree in Leadership from Jacksonville State University, and an administrative certification from the University of West Alabama. He holds a doctorate in Educational Leadership from Samford University and is also a National Board Certified Science Teacher.
Dr. Sauls and his wife, Beth, have two children, Caleb and Caroline. He is deeply passionate about student success and is dedicated to helping every student at Douglas High School reach their full potential.
