Dr. Brian Sauls, Principal
Dr. Brian Sauls was named Principal of Douglas High School in July of 2021. He had previously served as an assistant principal at DHS for two years. He was a high school and middle school science teacher and coach before becoming an administrator. Dr. Sauls has a bachelor's degree in Biology from Berry College, a master’s degree in Biology Education from Auburn University, an Education Specialist degree in leadership from Jacksonville State University, and an administrative certification from the University of West Alabama. He recently completed his doctorate in educational leadership from Samford University. He is also a National Board Certified Science Teacher. Dr. Sauls and his wife, Beth, have two children, Caleb and Caroline. Dr. Sauls is very passionate about the success of our students.
